What is ENDLESS STATIC?

We’re a wild, subversive corner of speculative literature reveling in the absurd, the grotesque, and the downright surreal, blending elements of horror, humor, sci-fi, and fantasy into stories that defy logic and conventional storytelling. We publish stories that read like the fever dreams of David Lynch on a bad acid trip. Characters might include sentient fast-food mascots plotting world domination, everyday objects coming alive with malevolent intent, or body horror twisted into slapstick comedy. It’s not weird just for weird’s sake. These stories aim to shock, amuse, and/or provoke thought by subverting expectations, embracing the taboo, and exploring the fringes of human experience with unapologetic creativity and often a dark, satirical edge.

If this is the sort of madness that appeals to you, please consider subscribing.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We want original bizarro stories no longer than 2,000 words in length.

Q: How will I know if my fiction is weird enough?

A: If your story has readers muttering “what the fuck?” under their breath as they read along, it belongs here!

We can’t stress this enough: Make it WEIRD.

No, weird doesn’t mean cheap laughs and illogical stupidity. Make us feel something, but in the most absurd way possible. Send only your best! Stories that do not fit the bizarro genre will be rejected, no matter how much we enjoy them.

Please read previously published ENDLESS STATIC stories to get an idea of the kinds of fiction we’re looking for.

We want human stories, written by absurd little humans—no AI.

Submissions aren’t limited to only fiction. Get creative! We’ll publish anything we love that fits the spirit of the publication, whether it’s a painting, mixed media, sounds, images, whatever! However, be aware of copyright infringement. We don’t want trouble.

Please don’t send anything that includes hate speech or gets too political.

Reprints are accepted as long as the author has the right to reprint the story AND if the story was last published over one year ago from the date of submission.

Submissions will open December 1st, 2025 and will close once we have a full release schedule.

Submit stories in .docx format to bizarrobrooos@gmail.com

Make sure to include your author name (the name you wish to appear alongside your story, if published), a short 2-3 sentence bio (written in third person), along with a link to your website or substack.

If your submission is accepted, you will retain the rights to your story/art piece, we just ask that you wait 6 months after the publication date before publishing it elsewhere.

If accepted, we will contact you via email to discuss any necessary editing before the story goes to publication.

You can expect a response from us within 30 days of the submission date. Please do not contact us about the status of your story until after the 30 day mark.

One submission per author at a time. If rejected, you may submit a different story. If accepted, please feel free to send another.
